Microsoft Released Important Windows 10 Update Codenamed KB5034763

For Windows 10 21H2 and Windows 10 22H2, Microsoft has issued the cumulative update KB5034763. This update includes a few minor changes, such as the ongoing implementation of adjustments to comply with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) of Europe.

The required Windows 10 cumulative update KB5034763 includes the very important security fixes for Patch Tuesday in February 2024.

For Windows users, the update can be manually installed by navigating to Settings, selecting Windows Update, and then ‘Check for Updates.’

However, as soon as you check for updates in Windows, this update—which is required—will begin installing immediately. After installing this update, Windows 10 22H2 will be updated to build version 19045.4046, and Windows 10 21H2 will be updated to build version 19044.4046.

  • This update fixes a problem with explorer.exe. It may refuse to respond. When you turn on or off a PC with a controller device connected, this happens.
  • An problem that interferes with the download of device metadata is fixed in this release. There is now increased security when downloading via HTTPS from the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS).
  • An issue with the Certificate Authority snap-in is fixed in this update. The option “Delta CRL” is not available to you. This prevents you from publishing Delta CRLs using the GUI.

Additionally, the KB5034763 update improves the overall performance of your Windows 10 installation by resolving an issue with the Code Integrity Module (ci.dll) that was causing device freezes.
